I am a qualified English Language teacher with 1 year online tutoring experience and 2,5 years in the classroom, teaching business administration skills. I have also worked as an administrative assistant (5+ yrs), responsible for accurate speed typing (audio incl.), minute taking and handling of incoming and outgoing calls.
I have strong organisational and planning skills, very good self and time management skills and outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Having worked in an office, retail and in service oriented environments for approximately 10 years, I have learned efficient interpersonal skills and is an excellent team member to work with.
In regard to technology, I use the internet for academic research, presenting online lessons and to gain general knowledge on a variety of topics. During the years in administration, I have used Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and have recently learned some of the features present in Access. I am also familiar with collaborative software apps such as Google docs and DropBox and know how to design a presentation on PowerPoint.
Lastly, due to approximately 3 years spent in The Netherlands, France and Belgium, I have basic to average knowledge speaking, reading and writing in these language. Naturally, my Afrikaans background can be credited for this. I could confidently translate English to Afrikaans and could attempt – with online help – to translate (spoken) Hebrew to English as I have lived in Israel for 5 years.
