Simplifying how Kiwis find help since 2020
Needed started in 2020, in the middle of COVID. It was a time when getting someone to show up mattered, and it made one thing clear: getting a reply is often the real challenge. The pattern is familiar. You message three businesses, two don't reply, and the third is booked out for weeks.
So you start over. You run a new search, send new messages, and get the same silence. Most people give up and post in a local Facebook group, then end up back at square one, sorting through random comments and DMs.
So we built a request-first flow. You describe the job once and up to three available professionals can contact you directly. You choose who to deal with, without chasing replies.

Needed is live across New Zealand. Some areas have strong pro coverage today. Others we're actively building. We'd rather go deep than wide — it doesn't help you to send a request if there's no one there to respond.
If local supply is limited, your request can reach pros who travel to your area. And if you're a pro in a region we haven't fully reached — that's the best time to join. Early movers get first access to every request in their area.
